Our History

Our History

Kemper-Keim dates back to 1869 when founder H.W. Kemper Sr. opened up a funeral parlor along with a furniture store.  Troy’s previous mayor of 32 years, Pheeze Kemper is a direct descendent of the Kemper family who founded the funeral home. The Kempers’ have rich traditions of community service in Lincoln County. The Keim Family purchased both the Troy and Hawk Point locations in 2021. The Keim Family has been opening the front door of the funeral home to great families since 2004.
